How to Treat Patellar Tendinopathy (Jumper's Knee)
Patellar Tendinopathy also known as Jumper's Knee is one of the most common injuries in fencing. Patellar Tendinopathy causes pain in the lower kneecap (See Image). Patellar Tendinopathy is common in fencers because of the nature of fencing, which includes high speed movements and frequent changes in direction. Combined with weak quadriceps, the tendons of the lower kneecap are worn down over time. See videos below for more information.
